Gulf News Edufair 2025 Highlights: Embracing Interdisciplinary Learning for Future Careers

The Gulf News Edufair 2025 in Dubai showcased the growing need for students to acquire a wide range of skills to thrive in today’s fast-changing job market. Experts emphasized that interdisciplinary education is essential for preparing students for future careers—especially with the rise of new roles like 'prompt engineers' driven by advances in artificial intelligence.

Daniel Adkins, Group CEO of Transnational Academic Group, pointed out that while AI offers many benefits, it also has its limitations. Hopkinson from Zayed University stressed the importance of producing graduates who can solve problems across multiple disciplines, promoting creative thinking and critical analysis.

The Edufair also included discussions on the changing nature of education. Institutions like Manipal University and Middlesex University are shifting away from traditional lectures and toward more interactive, facilitation-based learning. This new approach is designed to help students become lifelong learners who can adapt to constant change.
